Building work gets going next week and is set to be completed in January 2014.
The scheme, designed by Bowker Sadler Architecture, is the second phase of Places for People’s Rivers Gate development. All the properties will be for rent through Places for People.
The scheme was awarded to Lovell through the Homes & Communities Agency’s Delivery Partner Panel.
The 39 homes – a mix of two- three- and four-bedrooms – will be built using traditional construction methods and are designed to achieve Level 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes, Secured by Design criteria and the Lifetime Homes standard.
“We’re excited to be working on another scheme for Places for People. This landmark regeneration scheme will create energy-efficient, new homes for rent in a fantastic location,” said Lovell regional director Noel Adams. “We look forward to using our expertise in creating high-quality, affordable homes to deliver the second phase of the Rivers Gate development.”
The first phase of the Rivers Gate development - 107 homes – was finished in August 2008.
