The English Riviera seafront hotel is being converted by developer Havard Tisdale into a six-storey mixed-use development comprising 14 holiday apartments, 12 private luxury residential apartments and two penthouse residential suites. The scheme also includes four restaurants together with car parking and improvements to surrounding highways and public spaces.
The project’s design by architects Kay Elliott has been influenced by the modernist style of early 20th century British seaside architecture. The simple linear form, curved balconies and glass balustrading maximise the expansive sea views and create a contemporary interpretation of the ‘Riviera style’, the developer reckons.
Õ¥Ö¼§ is scheduled to start on site at the end of June 2012 and take approximately 18 months to complete.
