The project, designed by The Highland Council’s Housing and Property Service, involves the introduction of a new biomass heating system for the entire school, provision of a new dining hall and classrooms. When complete the project will also link the school’s two existing buildings and provide improved access to classrooms.
Duncan Ferguson, Head Teacher at Plockton High School, said, “Our school community is very pleased to see this major development going ahead. It will greatly enhance our facilities. We as a school look forward to working with Mansell and anticipate huge benefits for our school from this project.”
Work is due to start on site this month and will complete in January 2012.
