Trakm8 will provide Mecalac with its latest generation T10 telematics device, which is manufactured in its West Midlands factory.
The initial contract will see Trakm8 supplying a minimum 2,000 machine monitoring and diagnostic units for Mecalac machines over the first three years, starting from June 2017.
Mecalac is branding its telematics system Capture. It will allow hire firms and site managers to monitor where the machines is, where it has been, the distance travelled and the hours completed each day.
Mecalac programme manager Lee Aldridge said: “Over the past few years, we've seen customer demand for telematics capability increase significantly. By partnering with Trakm8, we can now offer a market-leading, proven solution for customers around the world.”
