The London Mayor’s Office for Policing & Crime is advertising the £250m minor and intermediate buildings works framework contract, which is set to run for four years.
Works are to include: internal refurbishment and fit-out of buildings; alteration and extension; decoration; mechanical & electrical installation, mechanical & electrical repair and replacements; internal fabric repairs, replacement and installation; external fabric repairs, replacement and installation; demolition; asbestos removal; and new build works.
The framework is divided into three lots, according to size of projects to be undertaken.
Lot 1 is for works with a value up to £300,000.  It is envisaged that six contractors will be appointed to Lot 1. Total value of this lot over the term is estimated at £86m.
Lot 2 is for works with a value of up to £5m, for which four contractors are expected to be selected. Total value of Lot 2 is £32m.
Lot 3 is for works with a value of between £5m and £10m. Again, four contactors are expected to be chosen for this band, which as a total estimated value of £130m over the four years.
Contractors can bid for Lot 2 and one other lot, but cannot bid for both Lot 1 and Lot 3.
