This is the second pair of LTM 1060-3.1 cranes that Marsh has bought, having bought two previously in 2015.
The LTM 1060-3.1 has a three-axle chassis with six-wheel steering. The five-section telescopic boom extends to 48 metres. Marsh decided against taking the optional double fly jib, which extends reach to 63 metres.
Marsh Plant managing director Andy Honeywell said: “This machine is absolutely perfect for our clients: compact, highly manoeuvrable with a long boom that enables it to be used in many applications previously requiring a larger four/five axle crane to successfully complete the task.”
He said that Liebherr cranes accounted for much of Marsh Plant’s inventory and the purchase of more LTM 1130-5.2 units, rated at 130-tonne capacity, is now being considered.
