Doug Hoerr, Caterpillar vice president of the material handling & underground division, is retiring 1st August 2017 after more than 20 years with the company.
Karl Weiss, vice president of the earthmoving division, will become vice president of the material handling & underground division in his place.
Taking over as vice president of the earthmoving division will be Frederic Istas, currently aftermarket solutions global manager for the global aftermarket solutions division.
Meanwhile, chief technology officer Jean Savage will become vice president of the surface mining & technology division in a job swap with Tom Bluth, who becomes chief technology officer and vice president of the innovation & technology development division.
Three other Caterpillar vice presidents also had their retirement announced last week – Paolo Fellin, Greg Folley and George Taylor. []
