The eight machines comprise two EC27C units (2.7 tonne), two ECR88 Plus units (8.6 tonnes) and four of the EC55C (5.5 tonne).
The order is part replacement and part additional to Coinford’s existing fleet of Volvo excavators.
“We cannot talk more highly about our fleet of Volvo compact excavators,” said Coinford director Lee Burlton. “The machines have given us a high degree of reliability and operating uptime and that even includes some of the older models in our fleet and so for us, it was an easy decision to buy into this level of reliability once again.”
The new machines will be immediately deployed on Coinford building projects across the south of England.
Powered by direct injection Volvo diesel engines, the EC55C and the larger reduced swing ECR88 Plus provide high performance, fuel efficiency and low emissions/noise, Volvo claims. The smaller EC27C follows the conventional excavator design, providing stability with minimal superstructure swing.
