This is the third PF2 schools batch and has a capital value of between £80m and £120m.
The construction programme will deliver five secondary and seven primary schools, providing an aggregate of 8,150 pupils and create 124 nursery places. Morgan Sindall will be responsible for the design and construction, with Integral UK providing maintenance services for 25 years.
The schools are in Blacon (Chester), Wigan, Neston (South Wirral), Prenton (Wirral), Blackpool, Birkenhead, Halton, Stockport and Manchester. All schools scheduled to be handed over by September 2017.
Morgan Sindall Investments managing director Lisa Scenna said that the parties hoped to reach financial close within a few months to start on site in March 2015.
