The share price fell from 147.5p at close on 28 March to 101p at close yesterday (29 March), wiping £60m of its market capitalisation.
This time a year ago Mouchel was trading at around the 200p mark. By the 3 December the price had troughed at 56.5p. They had risen to around 150p by the end of February as takeover talks reached a crescendo.
After Mouchel's kickback yesterday, its bidders were largely unaffected, with Costain ending the day up 5p to 257p and Interserve gaining 1p to 272,75p.
