Aecom has more than 5,000 employees serving clients in 21 countries across Europe, where it generated more than £460m in the year to 30 September 2010. Aecom’s UK business include what used to be Faber Maunsell, acquired in 2002, and Davis Langdon, bought in August this year in a £200m deal.
At Mouchel, , Morriss was managing director, government & business services, in charge of 4,000 employees and accounting for more than £200m of the company’s total £633m annual revenue.
Morriss spent the first 18 years of his career at was then WS Atkins, eventually becoming MD of its nuclear power business, before leaving to join Serco in 2006 and then Mouchel in March 2008.
Aecom president and chief executive officer John M. He starts in January and will report to Nigel Robinson, executive vice president, geographies.
Notable Aecom projects in Europe include: Crossrail, where it is part of the joint venture providing program management services; project and cost management services on the refurbishment of the Moscow Ritz Carlton hotel; master planning services for the 2012 London Olympics; and cost management and specification consulting on Europe's tallest building, The Shard, by London Bridge station.
