UAE-based Dhabi Contracting will build the centre, which will bring together retail, dining and entertainment as well as a 252-room hotel.
Construction is set to begin in early October; earthworks at the site were completed in June.
The centre will include 350 shops, restaurants and entertainment outlets, connected directly to the 18-storey hotel.
The development is at the edge of the Jumeirah Village Triangle (JVT) community, which contains more than 13,000 villas, townhouses and apartments spread across 242 hectares. Two schools and a range of third party residential developments are under construction.
Al Khail Avenue has more than 1.2 million sq ft of leasable space, of which about 70% is booked. The scheme is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2019.
