“This is a strategically important win for Mace, demonstrating our penetration of the infrastructure market through our delivery of key projects across the energy, utilities, roads and rail sectors,” said Jason Millett, Mace’s COO for major programmes and infrastructure.
The role will see Mace working on a diverse portfolio of transmission and distribution projects and programmes across the UK. It will provide a variety of services for National Grid including project management, programme management, cost consultancy, project controls, design management, commissioning management and handover.
The appointment is part of a three year framework with two potential one-year extensions.
Mace energy & utilities director Andy Sharples said: “This appointment is great for our energy and utilities business as a further endorsement that we have the right people, right systems and right processes in place to deliver a range of key services across the whole of the project lifecycle. It’s also part of our strategy to expand our service offer and provide value for clients in the gas and electricity transmission and distribution markets.”
