The partnership is scheduled to run for three years, but has an option to be extended for an additional two years. Typically, jobs will be worth up to £500,000 and include maintenance to structures, embankments and cuttings.
Network Rail said that engaging the contractors at an earlier stage will encourage more innovation, deliver efficiencies and offer best value for money.

The frameworks will also provide emergency call-off and on-call arrangements enabling Network Rail to respond quickly and efficiently to incidents such as earthwork failures that impact upon the efficient operations of the railway.Â
