After 10 years with the company, Stewart Lowther has left to pursue other interests. He is replaced as managing director by Jean Curran, who steps up from operations director.
In a statement, the company described the switch as “the latest stage of an ongoing strategy to reposition the company to take fuller advantage of emerging new business opportunities in areas including construction and infrastructure”.
Jean Curran is said to have strong technical expertise as well as managerial and business development experience.
Separately, Matthew Hopkins has stepped down as regional director in Edinburgh.
The announcements come as Atmos Consulting confirmed a new three-year framework agreement to provide environmental consultancy services to the UK renewables business of French utility giant Engie, the parent company of Cofely, Electrable and Suez Environnement.
Atmos Consulting chairman Gerry Jewson said: “Despite challenging conditions and continued uncertainty in the renewable energy sector, Atmos has successfully adapted its business offer and is now working on a wider range of developments than ever before. The new three-year framework with Engie further consolidates our position as we look to the future.
Jean Curran said: “I am excited to be taking on the role of managing director at such an important time for Atmos Consulting and I relish the opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to continuous improvement in customer care for our clients.
“Our ongoing priority will be to focus our strategy on those areas where our company’s greatest strengths lie and to take full advantage of emerging business opportunities in areas including construction and infrastructure. In so doing, our aim will be to maintain and further enhance our reputation as a leading provider of environmental and planning solutions.”
