Ainscough Crane Hire is opening new depots this summer in Sheffield, Carmarthen and Exeter.
Ainscough is also continuing its long-running policy of renewing approximately 10% of its fleet every year, with Liebherr continuing as its preferred brand. The hire company has ordered 54 new mobile cranes from Liebherr over the last 12 months, including a nine-axle LTM 1750-9.1, rated at 750 tonnes capacity. This will be Ainscough’s third unit of this model.
Ainscough’s new orders with Liebherr over the past year represent a £26m investment.
It has placed orders for three 300-tonners, the new LTM 1300-6.2, and three of the 130-tonne class LTM 1130-5.1. Both of these types are new to the Ainscough fleet.
Another new crane type joining the Ainscough fleet is the compact single-cab LTC 1045-3.1, a three-axle 45-tonner. Three of these are also heading for Ainscough.
“We have a long standing history with Liebherr," said Ainscough managing director Robin Richardson.
