His new job title is group managing director – Timber Systems UK.
Mr Goodfellow was previously managing director of Stewart Milne Homes Central Scotland.
He began his career an architectural technician with Walker Homes more than 25 years ago, became chief architect at Beazer Homes and moved to the Stewart Milne Group in 1991. After two years as technical director of Stewart Milne Timber Systems, he was appointed managing director in 2003.
He led the Scottish timber frame industry into large panel safe crane erection which is now the industry norm. In 2006 he was appointed managing director of Stewart Milne Homes Central Scotland.
Mr Goodfellow said: “With growing demand for cost efficiency and innovation, the company is focusing on pioneering initiatives that will prove timber frame as the most sustainable, practical and efficient construction method. I am looking forward to steering the business forward at this pivotal time and reaffirming our position as the market leader during the next stage in its evolution.”
