The 2010 NSCC AGM and Annual Lunch at the prestigious Institute of Directors on London’s Pall Mall was an unprecedented success, achieving exceptional delegate feedback and record levels of attendance and financial return.
Bringing together NSCC members and leading industry figures, the AGM and Annual Lunch was praised for providing essential information on key business matters in a relaxed social setting. The AGM grantedNSCC members an exclusive audience with Mark Prisk MP, Minister of State for Business and Enterprise, and Paul Morrell OBE, the Government’s Chief ե֭ Adviser, gave the keynote speech at the Annual Lunch. The attendance of key Government representatives was an excellent way of celebrating the high-level political influence of NSCC’s work and this is recognised by the event’s inclusion on the TAF short list.
A current industry priority is reducing carbon emissions and the AGM and Annual Lunch is planned with a limited environmental impact in mind. Bookings are taken online to minimise paper usage, food is sustainably sourced, and staging and lighting is kept to a minimum to reduce energy usage.
NSCC Chief Executive Suzannah Nichol MBE said:
“The NSCC AGM and Annual Lunch has always been a popular event in the construction industry’s
calendar and we are delighted that it has been short-listed for a TAF award. Every year, we aim to giveour guests the chance to meet up with colleagues whilst coming away having learned something of value. The success of last year’s event in spite of the recession shows that it has become the event of the year for the specialist sector.”
The 2011 NSCC AGM and Annual Lunch will be held on Wednesday 23 November at the Institute of Directors where guests will enjoy a champagne reception and 3-course lunch.
