Laing O’Rourke Ireland Ltd, the starting point for what has grown into an international construction empire, reported revenues for the year to 31 March 2010 of €25.1m, down from €103.6m the year before.
The pre-tax loss was €1m, compared to €2.8m the year before. The results were attributed to “difficult economic conditions”.
The company also shed 52% of its workforce, with the number of employees cut from 590 to 282 during the year.
