The new development will consist of 124 new homes across five mixed-height pavilion blocks spread across the site - 52 units will be for shared ownership and 72 for affordable rent. They will be a mix of terraced family homes and apartments with amenity space in between.
The design, by BPTW Architects, includes private balconies and gardens and oriole and angled windows to divert views across the amenity space.
The development will reach the Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4 and include two Passivhaus units. Renewable energy provision, including ground and air source heat pumps, and photovoltaic panels, also form part of the project.
The site was formerly part of New Cross Hospital and contained surplus research and administrative buildings that are now vacant.
The development is due to be completed next year.
