The Georgian Co-Investment Fund (GCF) and construction company Axis will build the 147m-tall Axis Towers, which will be the tallest buildings in the city. Arup is engineering consultant for the project.
The towers are twins except that one will be glazed with dark glass while the other features white stone cladding. The total buildable area of the towers is 94,000m².
The glass tower will house a 5-star Pullman hotel and a business centre with 15,000m² of office space. Its stone-clad twin will house 15,000m² of apartments. Recreation and entertainment facilities include a fitness and spa centre; a 25m-long swimming pool with a sliding roof; a ‘sky bar’ with panoramic views of Tbilisi; a 1,100m² concert hall; shops, restaurants and cafes. There will also be underground park area with capacity for 500 vehicles.
The project is expected to be completed in 2017.
