The business delegation includes representatives from Mott MacDonald, Bechtel and Foster & Partners.
Aerospace is the main focus for the three-day trip but Cable will also be promoting British potential for contributing to the 2014 World Cup and 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil.
“Brazil is one of the fastest-growing economies in the world and I want to make sure British companies are aware of the opportunities,” said Cable.
The upcoming World Cup and Olympics in Brazil also around £4bn worth of export business that British companies are best placed to win, not least because of experience of delivering a successful London 2012, he said.
