It will be working closely with the Government of Fujairah to develop a strategic master plan for the development of the Emirate for the next 30 years.
Fujairah is one of seven Emirates making up the United Arab Emirates. Its coastline on the Gulf of Oman makes it a gateway to the Indian Ocean.
The master plan will provide the framework for economic, social and government based projects over the next 30 years.
The plan is scheduled to be completed within 12 months and will consist of four main stages: establishing the vision of the plan; gathering and collating evidence to support future development plans; the strategic planning stage, and the fourth stage – indentifying the legislative, policy and institutional reviews to allow the plans to be implemented. Once completed, the plan will be subject to a four month review.
“Ramboll is very proud to have been selected by Fujairah Municipality to lead this project that is not only a step change for Ramboll Middle East but is also of great significance to the Emirate of Fujairah and the wider Gulf region,” said executive director for Ramboll Middle East Adrian Palmer. “Ramboll Middle East is looking forward to working in partnership with the Municipality and stakeholders to provide the basis for the development within the Emirate over the next 30 years, and the opportunity to be a true partner to the Emirate over the forthcoming development period.”
