RES Anatolia has acquired a licence for the wind farm in Havza. Õ¥Ö¼§ is planned to start early in 2014 for operation in 2016. The company is planning to develop further solar and wind farms in Turkey and to grow its portfolio by 50MW to 100MW every year over the next 10 years.
The €75m (£60m) plant is the company's first investment in the Black Sea region. It will produce 126GW of electricity per year, capable of meeting the electricity power needs of 69,000 households.
RES has been active in Turkey since 2009. Currently, the company holds licences to produce 170MW from wind energy in Turkey.
