Wednesday’s visit (28 March) was made in his capacity as the UK's Special Representative for International Trade and Investment.
The Duke spent an hour at the plant, where he was greeted by company chairman Roger Bowden and managing director John Keely and shown around the assembly line. He also met apprentices, former apprentices who have progressed into product management roles, and undergraduate engineers on placement from universities.
His Royal Highness was given a demonstration of the company's products, including the HR17 Hybrid 4x4, a low-weight self-propelled mobile elevating work platform containing several patented technologies.
There is no word whether he placed an order.
