The client is the Romanian National Company of Motorways & National Roads (CNADNR) and the project is worth approximately €121m (£100m).
The new motorway  will connect Pan-European Corridor IV with the Bucharest-Brasov-Bors motorway.
Salini Impregilo’s contract consists of 17km of motorway with two lanes in each direction with a hard shoulder and includes approximately 81,000m² of bridges and viaducts, as well as three intersections.
The group’s lpresence in Romania dates back to 1993 when it upgraded the DN7 National road.  It is currently engaged on a €137m contract on the Orastie-Sibiu motorway and a €153m design and construction scheme for the Lugoj-Deva motorway.
