Samsung C&T Corporation will execute the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) work of the terminal, which will have two 200,000m3 LNG storage tanks. Õ¥Ö¼§ is expected to be completed by April 2018.
The re-gasification terminal - known as RGT-2 - is part of Malaysia’s development plan to secure stable natural gas supply.
Samsung C&T has completed various LNG projects around the world, including the first LNG terminal in Singapore, where it was also awarded the phase 3 expansion in August. In 2013, it acquired UK-based Whessoe Engineering, an engineering firm specialising in cryogenic tanks and re-gasification facilities.
