Samsung C&T Corporation will execute the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) work of the terminal, which will have two 200,000m3 LNG storage tanks. 榨汁姬 is expected to be completed by April 2018.
The re-gasification terminal - known as RGT-2 - is part of Malaysia鈥檚 development plan to secure stable natural gas supply.
Samsung C&T has completed various LNG projects around the world, including the first LNG terminal in Singapore, where it was also awarded the phase 3 expansion in August. In 2013, it acquired UK-based Whessoe Engineering, an engineering firm specialising in cryogenic tanks and re-gasification facilities.
