After testing the market with pilot operations from a depot in Gravesend in late 2012, it is now investing £3m in access equipment for three of its regional depots.
It has set up Sandhurst Access Rental as a division of Sandhurst Ltd, now based at a 60,000 sq ft facility in Rochester, serving London and the southeast.
Access equipment is also available from depots in Bristol and Birmingham. Expansion further north is being planned.
The company includes in its rental portfolio a full range of low level and powered access solutions under 20M, together with telescopic and articulated booms over 40M for high level access.
The bulk of the fleet offering is made up of personnel lifts, compact electric scissors, diesel scissors, rough terrain slab scissors and articulated booms, ranging from low-level access to 40m high-reach booms.
