It will work alongside main contractor Galliford Try for end client Regents on the Godiva Place development, which will provide accommodation for more than 750 students.
This £47.5m project will transform a brownfield site into a landscaped area with 76 cluster flats and 99 studio apartments for students attending the university.
SES will design and deliver full M&E services for five residential towers, including lift safety, security, heating, ventilation, drainage and energy-efficient lighting and control.
SES was previously Shepherd Engineering Services until it was acquired by Wates in 2015. (link opens in new tab).
There is restricted site access and so SES’ dedicated offsite manufacturing facility, Prism, is seen as key part of the project delivery. SES said that it should bring a saving of 14,000 working man-hours on site as well as additional benefits including improved health and safety, improved quality, as well as improved programme assurance.Â
Work is due to begin on site this month.
