Shepherd will call on Nationwide’s network of 26 hire depots and extensive fleet of boom and scissor lifts that range in working height from 3.5m to 70m. Over the last two years, Nationwide Platforms has invested more than £43m in new equipment.
“Having gained a comprehensive understanding of Nationwide Platforms’ resources, capability and expertise, we are pleased to reach this deal as we work towards achieving our goals over the next three years,” said a Shepherd spokesperson.
Nationwide Platforms managing director Jeremy Fish said the deal was “exciting”.
Trading update: Nationwide Platforms’ UK rental revenue grew 10% year-on-year in the first three months of 2014, parent company Lavendon revealed in a trading update this morning.
