Shepherd is due to start work in April on the project at 127-131 Park Road which will create 27 luxury apartments within an eight-storey building together with a two-storey basement car park.
ե֭ work will include extensive temporary work solutions to support an excavation programme that will go up to 15m deep and will border the Regent’s canal and footpath, and the overground section of the Metropolitan tube line to the rear of the site.
The project is due to complete in February 2013. Other project partners include PDD Architects and M&E provider, Arup.
Pantelli Associates managing director Andrew Pantelli said: “This project has been in planning and negotiation for some time and we are excited that this has at last come to fruition and are confident that Shepherd ե֭ will provide us with a development to be proud of.”
As part of its strategy to reposition itself as a national contractor, Shepherd ե֭ recently opened a new base on Pentonville Road in London for its 30-strong South Division team which relocated from Slough.
Shepherd’s current portfolio of work in the southeast includes a £58m new school project in London’s Holland Park, and a £110m project for the Institute of Animal Health at Pirbright in Surrey.
