The next stage in the competition will ask the shortlist to come up with concept designs for a new lecture theatre, as well as a redesigned kitchen. The College is set in beautiful listed gardens and grounds therefore the architects will be expected to come up with proposals that integrate sensitive, high quality architecture within the truly historic setting.
The opening of the new facilities will be at the heart of the College’s celebrations of its 300th anniversary. They are intended to have a major impact on the academic, artistic and social life of the College throughout the year, and are the climax of the largest building programme since its re-foundation.
The result of the competition will be announced in June this year.  Â
