The project will consist of 50 turbines with an installed capacity of 115MW. Once completed, it will be one of the largest wind power plants in the country.
Skanska’s scope also includes planning, design, procurement and construction of all roads, foundations, buildings, and electrical systems including two substations and a transmission line. The wind farm will be connected to the Chilean national grid.
The project is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2013.
