The SEK398m (£34m) contract with the Swedish Transport Administration will see improvements made to a line that is currently a single-track railway with low capacity. Expanding the route to have a double track will relieves the main lines from freight traffic.
The project is a turnkey contract covering the 13km double-track railway, seven bridges and about 9km of roads and noise-reducing measures.
Project planning will start immediately and the project is expected to be completed in October 2019.
The construction of the line will employ 120 people in total.
