South Derbyshire District Council’s planning committee has granted outline planning permission for the mixed use Cadley Hill development that will deliver up to 215 homes.
Under the plans, nine acres of land are set aside for small office, light industrial, storage and distribution premises. The proposals also include what the developer describes as ‘significant financial contributions’ to primary school provision and recreation facilities in the area, in return for the planning permission.
St Modwen said that more than 300 construction jobs would be generated by the house building work. The business park will create a further 150 jobs.
