The new Terex TA6 and TA6s dumpers are powered by 55kW (74hp) JCB EcoMAX turbo-charged diesel engines that provide 400Nm of torque.
The previous model used a 70kW (94hp) engine.
Terex claims that running costs and fuel consumption are reduced by up to 8%, even though performance is improved, with faster acceleration speeds under load.
A new LCD dashboard display (pictured below) shows hour meter, coolant temperature gauge and fuel level as well as warning alerts, such as water-in-fuel and air filter blockage.
“Our site dumper range has gone from strength to strength over the past 12 months, resulting in a number of high-profile new contracts and system upgrades,” said Neal Nowick, general manager of Terex Coventry.
