The Nzema plant in Ghana will be able to supply enough electricity to power more than 100,000 homes. Õ¥Ö¼§ of the US$400m (£248m) plant is due to start within a year and the developers hope to confirm finance within six months.
A key factor in making the project viable is that Ghana’s renewable energy law will guarantee the plant a feed-in tariff for 20 years at premium prices.
