The National Composites Centre brings together business and academia to develop new technologies for the design and manufacture of high-quality composite products.
Bristol University has also called for bids for a new Life Sciences building. This contract is estimated to be worth between £25m and £35m. The Bristol Life Sciences building will house teaching and research laboratories, with academic and administrative offices as main wings off a central atrium. The project is on a sloping and constrained city centre site and will include associated infrastructure and landscaping works. Total gross internal floor area is 13,500 square metres.
Enabling works, comprising demolition of existing buildings, bulk excavation and ground retention will be let as a separate contract.
