The contract for GRT Gaz covers design, construction and technical support for the commissioning of the pipeline as well as several disconnector stations. The pipeline will cross the River Seine in a micro-tunnel near Pont sur Seine in north-central France.
The €60 million project is part of the development of gas transmission infrastructure in northern France, linked up with the construction of the new liquefied natural gas terminal in Dunkirk.
The contract was won in an alliance with a Dutch company, with Spiecapag as lead partner. Work is expected to start in first quarter 2014 and will last around eight months.
