The contract, which will be carried out by Eurovia subsidiary ETF, will last 20 years and cover the rail infrastructure on the city’s lines 3 and 6. It involves 75km of electrified rail tracks as well as 15km of tracks for two depots.
Commissioning is scheduled for February 2017 for line 6 and June 2018 for line 3.
ETF has already completed more than a third of the lines of Santiago’s underground system currently in operation.
