The appointment is part of a move to develop the business’s civil engineering capabilities in the highways and rail infrastructure sectors. VolkerLaser is one of five business units within VolkerWessels UK and provides strengthening, repair and waterproofing services.
Jeff Booth joins VolkerLaser from Structural Systems UK & Hevilifts where he developed expertise in temporary works design, hydraulic heavy lifting and sliding, bridge jacking and launching, bearing replacement schemes, structural strengthening and post-tensioning.
His project portfolio includes the replacement of bridge bearings on the Hammersmith Flyover, the refurbishment of Gatwick and Stanstead Airport’s rail transit system, and the structural strengthening of the Brentford to Chiswick M4 elevated section.
