The project follows LSE’s acquisition last year of 32 Lincoln’s Inn Fields to enlarge its campus and will see Willmott Dixon carry out a full internal modernisation of the Grade II listed building to integrate it with LSE’s existing campus. The scope of work covers approximately 11,500 square metres.
Willmott Dixon will start on site at the end of March, working with LSE’s project manager Davis Langdon, and complete by November. Also on the team are Jestico and Whiles, architect, Ellis & Moore, structural engineers and Hoare Lea for the M&E.
The fast-track programme will give LSE a new interior at 32 Lincoln Inn Fields. It involves stripping out chimney stacks, partitions and M&E services to create new teaching rooms and lecture theatres.
