The investment, over the past eight months, is designed to meet strong demand for ultra-compact machines able to tackle low level tasks. The machines were supplied through dealer Access Platform Sales.
Established just three years ago, Prolift Access has already become the largest independent hirer of access equipment in southwest England, according to Youngman, with 262 machines with working heights up to 18 m and a workforce of 27 located across two depots.
Commenting on the choice of Youngman, Prolift’s managing director Andy Pearson said: “We had trials of a few different makes of small scissor lift which showed us that, in our opinion, Youngman offered the best combination of performance, lightness, ease of maintenance and parts interchangeability.”
The top-of-the-range X3X-SP model weighs in at just 495kg and has a maximum working height and safe working load of 5.14m and 150kg respectively. At just 760mm wide, it can easily pass through a standard doorway.
